Culture Matters is an annual seminar about the impact of Valletta2018.
Together with the scientific committee, the public is invited to open discussion and assess the foundation's progress over the past four years. Such that, the seminar will provide key findings about cultural participation, and its link with tourism, management, and community life alongside the four main infrastructural projects (The Design Cluster, Is-Suq tal-Belt, MUZA, and Strait Street).
As part of Malta’s honorary year as a European Capital of Culture, the seminar will also address its’ pan european dimension with a guest speaker from LOCOP, a research organisation that is focused on cultural policy and supra-regional-funding across the EU.
Registration: The public is invited to register for the seminar by Monday 26 February.
The seminar will be held on Thursday 1 March, 2018, at Malta Chamber of Commerce, Valletta. Doors are open at 08.30 and closed at 16.30.
Following the seminar, the foundation is collaborating with Pecha Kucha Valletta for an informal event on Friday 2 March, at 19:30 a the Societa La Valette, Republic Street, Valletta, Malta).
