The 2016 Dance Tour by third year students of the Bachelor (Honours) Dance Studies degree will premiere 19:30 on 18 and 19 November at Junior College Auditorium in Msida. The programme features four new works by international choreographers addressing the theme of 21st Century identities. 

Each artist has taken a different approach to addressing the theme in creative collaboration with the students. Works include 1565 by Avatâra Ayuso (UK / Spain); Evil Hug by Máté Mészáros & Nóra Horváth (Hungary), Takudixxi by Roberto Olivan (Spain); and Anceps by Patrick Laera (Italy / Malta) who is a graduate of the Dance Studies Bachelors programme and an apprentice dancer with ZfinMalta Dance Ensemble. Original music by School of Performing Arts students Luke Cucciardi and Samuel Mallia, and lighting design by Paul Davies complete the evening.  The ten-strong company of dancers includes Rebecca Camilleri Pace, Yasmin Falzon and Francesca Zammit from Malta, Marie Keiser-Neilsen from Denmark, Blanka Fekete and Eszter Joo from Hungary, Natalie Muschamp from the Netherlands, Anna Armato from Italy, Gabriel Natán Velazco Robbe from Spain and Georgia Evans from the USA.

Following the premiere in Msida, the dancers and rehearsal director Sara Accettura will travel to the UK to perform at a number of venues, including the University of Bedfordshire Theatre 24 November at 18:30; Bath Spa University Ashton Studio 25 November at 15:30; Studio Theatre of Trinity Laban in London 28 November at 19:00; and a final performance in The Dance Studio Theatre at University of Chichester 29 November from 18:00. In addition, the company will bring works from the Dance Tour to several secondary schools around Malta.
