Department of Gender Studies Public Lecture by Prof. Dalila Honorato from the Ionian University, Corfu
title: The Door as Starting Point: on Semiotics of Space
date: 29 October 2015
time: 17:00 - 19:00
venue: Room 327, Chemistry Building, Msida Campus
About the topic
Doors define the borders of public and private space and they still provide safety protection and thermal isolation but they are much more than a simple mechanism. Because there are visible doors which lead nowhere and hidden doors that might unlock the access to freedom, this talk is a short passage through doors in architecture, literature and film.
The general public is cordially invited to attend this public lecture.
