Dr Vella graduated in Physiotherapy (2007), Medicine and Surgery (2013) and read a Masters in Family Medicine (2015) at the University of Malta. He was elected student representative on Senate and appointed member on the Assessment Disciplinary Board for 2013 and 2014.
He is currently a General Practitioner trainee within the Primary Health Care Department.
Dr Vella is also an elected member of the Medical Association of Malta (MAM), the Malta College of Family Doctors (MCFD) and national representative in the European Union of General Practitioners (EUMO).
His areas of interest are governance and care in primary health, environmental health and nicotine addiction.
