BIOGRAPHY: Dr. Jonathan Joslin MD (Melit.) MMCFD FIMC RCS (Edin) FERC Consultant Emergency Physician Specialist in Emergency Medicine and Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Care
Dr Jonathan Joslin is a Consultant Emergency Physician who over the past 30 years has been practicing Emergency Medicine in Malta. His special interest and specialization in Pre-Hospital Emergency Care especially in dealing with the immediate management of entrapped victims in road traffic accidents has led to the development of a team response to the multiple trauma victims on our roads. As a founding member of the Specialist emergency response and retrieval team of doctors set up in 2003, he is on primary call out as Medical Lead to major incidents or serious accidents occurring in Malta through the rapid response emergency physician vehicle units backing the Emergency Ambulance service. He is also regularly involved in dealing with mass gathering management involving major National events including major concerts and sport events. He is the immediate past Chairperson of the Malta Resuscitation Council and is heavily involved in teaching the skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation within the local Community aiming to ensure that all schoolchildren receive training in this life saving skill before leaving school. He has recently been conferred with the Asmund Laerdal Award by the British Association of Immediate Care / Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in recognition for his noteworthy and enduring contribution towards Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine.
