I love statistics, particularly when it is about solving real problems. I have been dedicating the last 25 years of my life to statistics. I accumulated years of increasingly significant experience in statistical consultancy across various domains, including the humanitarian data (such as refugee statistics), the real economy, electoral processes, and official statistics.
I have in-depth knowledge of development cooperation dynamics and the official statistics provided by Eurostat, the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe, and the United Nations. I have comparative experience in developing and leading statistical projects with teams composed of over 50 nationalities across 15 different countries. My collaborations include working with organizations such as the European Union (EU), the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), the National Democratic Institute (NDI), and the United Nations (UNHCR).
I served as a professor of Statistics at Pompeu Fabra University in Spain for five years and hold a PhD in Statistics. I have authored several publications in the field of applied statistics and presented my work at various institutions, including New York University, the European Parliament, the International Statistical Institute, the Econometric Society, the International Economic Association, and the European Survey Research Association.
