Paul Zammit was awarded a B.Eng.(Hons.) degree in electrical and electronics engineering by the University of Malta in 2007 where he was subsequently employed as a junior project officer and later as an assistant lecturer. Paul was awarded an M.Sc. by research by the University of Malta for his work in the design and implementation of an embedded guidance computer platform in 2012. Later on that year, Paul moved to Glasgow, UK, where he lived for more than 5 years whilst furthering his studies. In late 2016, he was awarded a Ph.D. by the University of Glasgow for his work in image processing and computational optics. Following his Ph.D., he stayed on at the University of Glasgow for an additional year as a postdoctoral researcher. He eventually returned to the University of Malta in early 2018 where he is currently employed as an academic.
