The University of Malta was awarded the NCPE Equality Mark Certification on 14 June 2024 for its commitment towards equitable and inclusive initiatives, policies and measures in place. This is a recognition of the Institution's solid commitment towards creating an inclusive community and a safe space.
UM has a Gender+ Equity Plan for 2022-2025 in place - approved by the UM Senate on 20 January 2022 and by Council on 17 February 2022.
