The University of Malta embarked on a Strategic Planning Process to update its vision and mission for the forthcoming years. The Strategic Plan 2020-2025 presents a set of overall goals and a roadmap on how to achieve them. 

The development of the current Strategic Plan was drawn on the foundations set up by past plans at the University of Malta. Each new plan reflects the evolving state of higher education, the economy, industry and society. Although each plan differs in some way from previous plans, each one emphasises consistency in our mission, vision, and values, and draws even greater attention to our focus on the student experience, the academic community and our impact on society.
