Each awarding Faculty/Institute/ Centre/School has its own academic dress. Please make sure that the gown and colours correspond to the information online. If you wish, you can rent your gown from MUHC, as follows.
Kindly book your academic dress as early as possible by accessing the online booking form , or by filling in the form at the University Merchandise Shop, (at University House (Students’ House) between the two front doors of the Canteen.)
Please make sure to fill in all the details correctly to ensure that you are given the right academic dress on collection.
This year, a discount is being given to those who book their gown and photos (with the Official Photographer) through this form.
The MUHC gown booking fees include a €3 donation to the University’s Research, Innovation and Development Trust (RIDT). While you may opt out of this initiative, your generosity is greatly appreciated and donations will go towards the funding of specialised medical research. Further information about RIDT can be found online .
You are encouraged to book your gown even if you have recently completed the programme you were following but are still awaiting final results. Should you be informed that you will not be graduating in the November 2025 ceremonies, you will be entitled to a refund. Applications for refunds should reach us by sending an email including supporting documents that you will not be graduating by not later than noon of Wednesday, 19 November, 2025 (the last day of Undergraduate ceremonies). In the case of requesting a refund due to ill-health, please attach a doctor’s certificate. Refunds will only be given in these cases. Donations made to RIDT are NOT refundable.
