Welcome to the Department of Classics and Archaeology.
This page provides some useful information for all new students registered for a degree in Classics and/or Archaeology at the University of Malta.
The Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) is a portal where tutors post lecture material online for use by students following their study-units. Get to know all about VLE or access VLE through the Students portal.
The timetable for Classics and Archaeology lectures can be found on the Faculty of Arts website. For any any concerns related to the timetables, please contact Ms Louisa Borg (secretary) at the Archaeology Farmhouse.
To search for the study-units on offer in Classics and Archaeology use the course finder or use the Study-units database accessed through eSIMS.
For queries related to timetabling and your course, contact Ms Louisa Borg.
For academic queries, please contact your lecturer/s directly.

If you find that you have a few hours a week to spare, and you would like to gain some practical experience in archaeological post-excavation, why not try out some voluntary work at the Department. We are always in need of volunteers to help with pottery washing, inking and storing. Such work also gives you the opportunity to socialise as well as gain valuable experience in the processing of archaeological material. If you are interested in doing some voluntary work at the Archaeology farmhouse, please get in touch with Dr Maxine Anastasi.
