EU-East Asia Political-Security Cooperation

'EU-East Asia political-security cooperation' reflects on the evolution of the EU’s foreign policy to East Asia in the realm of political-security cooperation. By making use of the concept of principled pragmatism, this project seeks to explore how following the adoption of the EU’s Global Strategy, the EU is attempting to reconcile a self-interested foreign policy with safeguarding its underlying values. In turn, the implications and prospects for the EU's political-security role in the region are also examined.
