The TEPEE (Towards a European Portfolio for Environmental Education) network developed a mechanism that enabled educators to evaluate and certificate environmental education competencies. The project team defined a scale of descriptors of abilities and competencies and the most appropriate methods and instruments of evaluation to develop a system of accreditation based on formative evaluation.
