This interdisciplinary postgraduate course exposes you to modern digital technologies that are becoming vital to improve personal wellbeing and to the understanding, prevention, diagnosis and management of illnesses. Applications on smartphones, wearable sensors and intelligent environment monitoring systems are able to gather personal health data that can be used to facilitate decision-making and in the development of personalised care plans. Healthcare professionals can use this information to support the patients in managing their illness, monitor and support independent living, and deliver therapies. This MSc in Digital Health provides you with the necessary technological expertise together with an understanding of the health landscape to help and support patients, increase staff productivity, management of patient records, reduce errors, extend conventional care, and influence the future of healthcare. The course is structured in two streams where you will be introduced to relevant aspects of healthcare, artificial intelligence, data analysis and programming.
