DESCRIPTION | Objectives: The aim of this study-unit is to make participants aware of the main sources of both short-term and long-term finance available to businesses, as well as the benefits and costs associated with each. Content: The study-unit will explore the course/s of action available to management to make sure that the funds in question are efficiently made use of - thereby ensuring that the best possible return is obtained on capital employed, and that the value of the firm is correspondingly enhanced. Topics covered will range from working capital management to the appraisal of capital investment projects. |
