DESCRIPTION | This study-unit introduces students to the fundamental financial principles and practices as applicable to the field of work and human resources. Through this unit, students learn about basic financial analysis They are also given the opportunity to discuss basic working capital management. Study-unit Aims: Students are introduced to the fundamental financial principles and practices as applicable to the field of work and human resources. Learning Outcomes: 1. Knowledge & Understanding: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - have a sound basic understanding of financial management; - read and analyse financial reports; - demonstrate knowledge about working capital. 2. Skills: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - quantify the implications of changes in financial statements; - manage working capital basics.
