DESCRIPTION | This study-unit aims to provide the environment in which students can learn to develop a portfolio that combines the learning experience during their studies with their career experience. Students will develop their personal portfolios in this study-unit. Study-Unit Aims: - To teach students how to develop a portfolio that combines their academic and professional/technical experiences. Learning Outcomes: 1. Knowledge & Understanding: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to discuss the academic knowledge and experience gained throughout his/her programme of studies in a holistic manner and how this interacts with and adds value to his/her professional/technical experience. 2. Skills: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Develop a portfolio of the work and experiences carried out or gained. - Relate different academic and technical/operational experiences to his/her career and professional development. - Apply acquired scientific knowledge to day to day activities in a holistic manner. - Describe academic and professional achievement in a holistic manner. |
