DESCRIPTION These sessions will explore the major approaches in the theory of career education and guidance, and how different psychological and sociological perspectives have influenced these approaches. The major approaches to be discussed will include the developmental, personality based, trait and factor, structural and social learning theories. The second part of the study-unit will deal with different issues in the field of career education, career guidance and career counselling. This unit will also include fieldwork visits to an employment agency, a job centre and a vocational guidance and counselling institution.
