DESCRIPTION | Having identified a specific research hypothesis/es in Corporate communications or related area, a student will collect empirical data to test the hypothesis/es. Subsequently the student analyzes the data using a methodological approach to elicit conclusions as part of the cumulative development of a field of knowledge. Study-unit Aims: Student acquires the ability to choose a question of interest that contributes to the Corporate Communication area. Learning Outcomes: 1. Knowledge & Understanding: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - discuss, argue and critique a standpoint within a particular area of corporate communication; - demonstrate a deeper understanding in a specific area within a field of corporate communication. 2. Skills: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - choose among different methodological approaches on the basis of the question one is trying to answer; - conduct the collection of evidence to test a research hypothesis; - draw conclusions on the basis of evidence; - articulate a stance on the basis of evidence within a theoretical framework. |

ADDITIONAL NOTES | **September Assessment Session: Students who fail to obtain an overall pass mark will be re-examined in the Dissertation. However, the resit availability for the Oral Examination is at the discretion of the Board of Examiners. | ||||||
