DESCRIPTION The Professional Practice study-unit gives students the opportunity to work on creative real life projects. Practitioners coming from visual communications, digital games design, television post production, museums, education and other fields will supply a project brief, and together with the lecturer give feedback on the students’ outcomes. This experience will provide the student with a taster of the real working environment of the digital artist. It also gives the student the opportunity to create real workflows and participate in creative production.Students will be required to pitch their work to professionals and act according to the feedback received.

Study-Unit Aims:

- To give students a taster of the professional working environment;
- To get students to experience design workflows;
- To place students in a position that holds responsibility.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Knowledge & Understanding:

By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- Become proficient in handling real world assignments;
- Become familiar with design workflows;
- Become responsible to delivering within a production environment.

2. Skills:

By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to:

- operate creatively within a professional working environment;
- work within given deadlines;
- adapt work to a number of client necessities.
