DESCRIPTION | Syllabus Final year projects in Mechanical Engineering are open-ended problems for which the aims and objectives are defined by the tutor prior the commencement of the project, a programme of work delineated and then carried out in a structured way. The type of work, design, experimental, simulation analysis, etc will depend on the project specification and constitutes a defined subset within the area of study currently under investigation. The project presentation and a 60 page project report should demonstrate the student's contribution of the ongoing project. Reference Texts Students are expected to consult the paper "Notes for the presentation of final year dissertations" by Prof. R. Ghirlando. |
