DESCRIPTION | The study-unit shows the major developments that occurred in the Church and in theology as new problems emerged and as the Church sought to keep the Christian tradition alive throughout the Middle Ages and in Modern and Contemporary times. Key theological developments are highlighted in the first centuries of Christianity, and followed by Scholasticism, Humanism and the Reformation. The unit is concluded with an outline of the modernity shaping church thought and practice. Reading List: - McGrath Alister E., Christian Theology.
