DESCRIPTION | The study-unit is a synoptic: it will prepare students to have a holistic understanding of French language and culture related topics. Study-Unit Aims: The aim of this synoptic study-unit is to test the students’ knowledge of linguistics, French language and French culture. Learning Outcomes: 1. Knowledge & Understanding: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Consider linguistics, culture and language related disciplines as a continuum without splitting it into fragmented components; - View a language as a scientific tool which enables him to solve any problem pertaining to one or more of its components. 2. Skills: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Use skills in French phonetics, general linguistics, French language and culture.
