| DESCRIPTION | Pre-Requisite study-unit GRM 2013 / GRM 2004 Immer wieder ist die Epoche der Romantik als ein spezifisch deutsches Phänomen glossiert worden. Ist sie das? Und falls ja, warum? Und reicht dieses Verständnis aus, um einer literarischen Richtung gerecht zu werden, deren philosophisches Gedankengut und gesellschaftliche und politische Wirkmächtigkeit bis in die Gegenwart hinein nachzuweisen ist? Das Seminar soll versuchen, hierauf Antworten zu finden. Time and again, Romanticism has been labelled as a particular German phenomenon. Rightly so? And, provided this is correct, for what reason? Does this point of view comply with a movement whose philosophy and political impact is still reflected in contemporary arts and society? The seminar intends to answer these questions.
