DESCRIPTION | This study-unit will provide an introduction to the areas of gender and sexualities. It will also offer a few tasters of the relevance and application of these areas to other topics, such as education, STEM subjects, artificial intelligence, social movements and sports, among others. Study-Unit Aims: This study-unit aims to provide an introduction and knowledge base to allow students to be able to follow further study in these areas with increased profit. It will introduce and explore various relevant concepts, such as gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, feminisms, masculinities, etc. that are basic to the area of gender and sexualities.
