DESCRIPTION | This study-unit constitutes the dissertation requirement of the programme in Digital Games. It consists of a project/dissertation. Students focus their effort on a specific problem within the Digital Games domain and conduct an academic research investigation. Study-unit Aims: This study-unit aims to teach students how to: - Identify an appropriate problem; - Plan a research investigation; - Execute a research investigation/project; - Report findings in a communicative manner. Learning Outcomes: 1. Knowledge & Understanding By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Assess the outcomes required by different types of questions; - Identify the appropriate research process answering a given specific question; and - Execute a systematic investigation. 2. Skills By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Undertake a research investigation; - Bring to fruition a project having certain objective within an agreed timeframe using available resources.
