| DESCRIPTION | All students registering for the Master in Contemporary Diplomacy are required to attend the residential workshop – an intensive 10 day programme focussing on skills development in the field of diplomatic activities. The seminars to be offered each year will be drawn from the list of topics below, depending on the composition of the student group and available expertise. Each seminar will be taught by top local and international experts. Students will be expected to complete regular assignments and demonstrate their skills development through demonstrations and simulation exercises. Study Topics (topics to be selected from the following list): • Online Learning Study Skills; • E-Diplomacy; • Bilateral and Multilateral Negotiation Skills; • Diplomatic Protocol and Etiquette; • Crisis Management; • Communication Skills; • Media Skills; • Diplomatic Reporting; • Public Diplomacy; • Language and Influence; • International Trade Relations and Diplomacy; • Development Diplomacy; • Internet Governance. Main Text/s and any supplementary readings: All readings are prepared by lecturers and provided during the workshop in Malta, depending on the topics to be offered. |
