| DESCRIPTION | Study-unit objective: The objective is to acquaint students with the development of lace making by needle and bobbin, basing on handwork and weaving crafts since the 16th Century. The unit also traces the development of new techniques of Lace Making in European lace centres, and how these techniques influenced Lace Making in Malta.
