DESCRIPTION | X’għażliet iridu jagħmlu dawk li jadattaw test letterarju għall-film? Għandhom responsabbiltajiet lejn it-test oriġinali? L-adattament għandu jkun fidil lejn it-test letterarju jew huwa biss interpretazzjoni suġġettiva? Nistgħu nħarsu lejn l-adattament bħala tip ta’ traduzzjoni? Jeżistu ġeneri letterarji jew testi partikolari li ma jistgħux jew m’għandhomx jiġu adattati? It-taqsima-studju tagħti ħarsa ġenerali lejn kwistjonijiet u dibattiti ewlenin bħal dawn li tmiss magħhom it-teorija tal-adattament. F’dan id-dawl jiġu mistħarrġa adattamenti ta’ testi letterarji bħar-rumanzi Il-Gaġġa u Is-Sriep Reġgħu Saru Velenużi, in-novelli ‘Laqgħa ma’ Mara Morbi’ u ‘Camilla’, u l-poeżiji ‘Relazzjoni’ u ‘Il-Bejjiegħ tal-Gazzetti’. Study-Unit Aims: L-għanijiet ta’ dan it-taqsima-studju huma li l-istudenti: - japprezzaw ir-rabta bejn il-letteratura u forom aristiċi oħra; - isiru konxji tad-diskussjoni u l-iżviluppi fit-teoriji tal-adattament; - jistħarrġu għadd ta’ testi letterarji li nqalbu f’film billi jirriflettu fuq il-proċess taladattament. Learning Outcomes: 1. Knowledge & Understanding: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: Fi tmiem it-taqsima-studju l-istudenti se jkunu kapaċi: - jiddistingwu bejn teoriji u tipi differenti ta’ adattament; - jirriflettu fuq il-gradi ta’ intertestwalità, (in)fedeltà, u varjazzjoni fl-adattament ta’ għadd ta’ xogħlijiet; - japprezzaw l-iżviluppi li saru f’dan il-qasam lokalment. 2. Skills: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: Fi tmiem it-taqsima-studju l-istudenti se jkunu kapaċi: - jirriflettu fuq it-tlaqqigħ bejn mezz artistiku u ieħor; - jiddiskutu l-kwistjonijiet ewlenin li jmissu magħhom it-teoriji tal-adattament; - japplikaw it-teoriji għall-adattamenti li saru ta’ testi letterarji differenti.
