DESCRIPTION | This is a comprehensive appraisal of the existing literature on an approved subject related to a particular topic in Medical Laboratory Science. Learning Outcomes By the end of the study- unit, the student should be able to: • Collect appropriate references and perform a thorough literature search; • Evaluate research findings reported in the literature, thus gaining insight intoaddressing limitations of research work and identifying advantages of particular research approaches; • Demonstrate scientific writing skills through the preparation of an abstract, proper presentation of a literature review and proper formatting of references; and • Identify which areas in a field require further research input. |
