DESCRIPTION | This study-unit provides vocal training to students in order to assist them in confident vocal performance. It strengthens their skills in ensemble singing within various genres. Study-unit Aims: - Introduce students to the fundamentals of choral singing; - Develop their vocal abilities; - Enhance their performance skills. Learning Outcomes: 1. Knowledge & Understanding By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - identify and distinguish between different voice types; - discuss aspects of vocal performance from a technical perspective; - memorise choral music. 2. Skills By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - effectively synthesise and harmonise with other performers of different voice types; - master vocal production techniques in an ensemble setting; - productively collaborate with performers; - organise groups according to voice types.
