DESCRIPTION | A project on an aspect of pharmaceutical technology approved by the Head of Department will be chosen. A literature review will be performed and a report will be submitted. Study-unit Aims: To perform a short study on an aspect in pharmaceutical technology giving students guided-autonomy to critically analyse literature, identify gaps, propose research questions, plan and disseminate research ideas and present it as a project. Learning Outcomes: 1. Knowledge & Understanding By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to identify peer-reviewed published sources relevant to the area of study. 2. Skills By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - develop a project plan; - capture information on current practice and processes; - evaluate current practice and processes; - support development of skills to search, interpret and communicate published research finding; - demonstrate academic report writing abilities encompassing a critical analysis of the literature review, specifying project aims, describing methodology and reporting on findings.
