DESCRIPTION | Study-unit Aims: - To introduce, at an early stage, a holistic approach towards architectural and engineering solutions, particularly as far as concerns macro-scale issues; - To introduce students to climate change phenomena and their impact, and how interventions can be targeted to achieve carbon neutral solutions; - To introduce sustainable development issues particularly relevant to Malta, including water resources, waste management, and transport. Learning Outcomes: - Ability to analyze sustainable development issues, particularly as contributed to by the building, construction and engineering industry.
