DESCRIPTION | This study-unit entails a three day seminar during which participants explore various personal issues with a suitably qualified facilitator. Study-unit Aims: The aim of this study-unit is personal growth. Learning Outcomes: 1. Knowledge & Understanding: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Develop his/her emotional intelligence. 2. Skills: By the end of the study-unit the student will be able to: - Be more self-aware; - Be able to self-disclose in a group; - Be able to communicate one's needs to others more effectively; - Become more sensitive to the needs of others. |

ADDITIONAL NOTES | Please note that this study-unit is generally held during a weekend. Screening of students may be a pre-requisite to acceptance for the study-unit. Full attendance is compulsory for the whole of the training course. This study-unit is only offered to BA(Hons) in Youth and Community Studies students. |
