UNESCO Chair global adult education

The University of Malta has officially been accorded a UNESCO Chair in Global Adult Education.

This is the first time ever that a UNESCO Chair has been established at the University of Malta and involves twinning with the University of Kalyani in West Bengal, India. Professor Peter Mayo is occupying this prestigious position.

This journal, produced by the Faculty of Education, is under the auspices of the UNESCO Chair in Global Adult Education. As part of the work package, the ICAE (International Council for Adult Education) flagship adult education journal Convergence, originally founded by the late J. R Kidd - as an electronic open-access outlet has been revived.

The University offers M.A. in Adult Education internationally and online.

The book series on International Issues in Adult Education, Professor Mayo has been editing for Brill Sense is being published. This book series, now Volume 34, is also connected with the Chair.
