The language of instruction at UM is English. If you have completed your secondary education overseas you are obliged to satisfy UM’s English language requirement by presenting a Secure English Language Test (SELT) result.

If the test result is not submitted by these dates, applicants will not be admitted to the course even if all other entry requirements are satisfied.
Applicants for Master's courses by research are to submit the SELT pass before commencement of the course.
Applicants for Ph.D. programmes are to submit the SELT pass before commencement of studies.
