The University of Malta Library (UM Library)
Library Staff Week – 2024/2025

As a customer-oriented and service-driven organisation, the Library is actively committed to teaching users how to identify, locate, evaluate, use and synthesise information as the pivotal element of a knowledge-based society which is an asset for the prosperity of Malta’s intellectual and economic growth.

The UM Library invites staff from overseas libraries (librarians, information specialists, etc.) who are experienced or interested in open access, managing archives and special collections, digitising library material, information literacy, and outreach services to share ideas, knowledge and expertise.

Please indicate, in your application, any specific area of your interest. 

The programme will start with an introduction about the UM Library, its resources and services, followed by a presentation by the participants about their library.

- No participation fee is required 
- Participants must cover their own expenses and ensure they have full insurance coverage
- Only make travel arrangements or other expenses after your application is confirmed
- The whole programme will be held in the English language

Official applications must be duly filled in and signed by both the sender and the receiving institution, supported by a CV and a letter of motivation.
