Abstract: | Pregnancy complicating homozygous beta thalassaemia is a rare entity. Two cases are described, 1 of which was further complicated by thrombocytopenia due to secondary hyperslenism. These cases are discussed in the light of current management of homozygous haemoglobinopathies. |
