Abstract: | The impact of EU accession on the medicines in Malta has been quite strong, especially with regards to the availability of medicines. The new regulations affected many policies either by totally changing them or by highlighting the need for action and change. EU legislation has brought difficult changes which however promise to be fruitful once there is agreement of all key players and necessary action is taken and systems are implemented so that Malta can operate within the EU legislative framework with the aim of ensuring availability and affordability of high quality medicines and their rational use. |
