Abstract: | Debates on cult, religion and ritual in Late Neolithic Malta have inevitably focussed on the well-known monumental buildings of this period, which have attracted the interest of researchers for centuries. Their landscape setting, by contrast, has received much less attention. Here it will be argued that a better understanding of how these buildings relate to the landscape will shed light on their purpose and significance. |
