Abstract: | Referred to by Professor Peter Serracino Inglott as "the father of modern Maltese poetry", John Cremona was a widely-acclaimed poet and jurist. Having graduated with a B.A. in 1936 from the Universita` Rjali in Malta, he studied in Rome as well as having obtained a PhD from the University of London. In his poetry, Cremona had a predilection for mentioning his late wife and his childhood: two memories which he used to hold very dearly. |
