Abstract: The Malta International Airport workforce in the last years had increased to about 750 personnel, most of whom are employed around the clock, on shift basis. Other personnel are employed at the air terminal with other companies and travelling agencies. The purpose of this long essay is to investigate the organizational procedure and measures which have been introduced at Malta International Airport with respect to occupational health and safety. This is done primary by means of Questionnaire, survey which I formulated and later distributed to 500 employees, employed with Malta International Airport. The responses provide useful information about what the various employees understand with respect to occupational health and safety and their awareness of procedures to handle and control hazards or accidents at work.
