dc.description.abstract | The F.EM - Female Employment Programme is a Project written as a European Social Fund (ESF) Application Form, under Priority Axis 3: Promoting an Equal and Inclusive labour market. The Female Employment Programme within the Employment and Training Corporation (ETC) will offer professional Career Guidance and other essential employment-related services to support female employability and to better assist both unemployed and inactive women to enter, return and remain in the labour market. The idea is to improve the ETC's Jobseekers' Advisory Services available to registered unemployed females already, and to widen access to inactive females whose needs are not being properly met to date. The Project's activities will be offered over a span of 27 months and will include: Individual Career Guidance services (and referral to Counselling/ Occupational Therapy/ Psychological/ Community Work services according to need), Group Career Guidance Sessions and Training, Outreach service, Guidance through Radio and TV Programmes, and E-Guidance services. By the end of the Project, it is envisaged that thousands of women would have come in contact and benefited from the Career Guidance-related services offered - an approximate total of 10,202 contacts. It is also expected that approximately 23% of participants who make use of the services provided through this Project would transfer to employment or further study 6 months after receiving assistance. An increase of 1.88% in the female employment rate and an increase of 0.67% in the total employment rate are also anticipated as a result of the services to be delivered within the Female Employment Programme. Ultimately, this Project aims to invest in the development and welfare of the Programme's participants and society at large. | en_GB |
