Abstract: Aims: To investigate the haemodynamics of peripheral arterial disease in patients with Diabetes and intermittent claudication. Methods: All patients referred to a vascular lab over one year were assessed for peripheral arterial disease by ABPI, Doppler waveforms, TBPI and absolute toe pressures. The haemodynamics of the symptomatic or most symptomatic limb were analysed. Duplex scans were assessed to identify location of disease and arterial calcification. [Excerpt]
