| Abstract: | This study provides and analysis of the many references Francis de Sales does to the texts of the Fathers of the Church in his books "Introduction to the Devout Life" and "Treatise on the Love of God". The references are mentioned and briefly analyzed in the context in which they are used. An introduction on the study of the Fathers in the 16th and 17th centuries opens the study. |
