dc.description.abstract | The contributions to this book, which picked up different aspects of older adults learning and intergenerational exchange partly from a broader European perspective and partly through the lenses of different European nations, cannot simply be summarized in a couple of central messages. Nevertheless, there are some conclusions that can be drawn from the different perspectives, which in many cases are presented for one country but stand as an example for other countries or regions facing the same challenges. In this sense, the different chapters show that learning in later life and intergenerational learning is not limited to organized educational programs but happens in different contexts and often unintentional but can be fostered by providing adequate framework conditions. | en_GB |
