Abstract: | Welcome to the second issue of volume three of the International Journal on Ageing in Developing Countries (IJADC). In this edition, we continue to explore how ageing is being addressed in different parts of the world. Those of us working in the field of global ageing are familiar with the numbers. Current trends and projections on ageing are unprecedented. The United Nations reported that the number of persons over the age of 60 will more than double by 2050, exceeding 2 billion people and surpassing the number of children for the very first time in history. |
