Abstract: | Chris Cavanagh is a committed popular educator from Canada. He has for years been involved in a variety of popular education projects including the ' Naming the Moment ' project in Toronto . Inspired by Latin American experiences and writings , among others , he has been quite active in the North American popular education scene. In this interview , he speaks about the major sources of influence on his popular education work , the kind of work he has carried out over the years , the role of popular education as an antidote to neo-liberal policies in education , the richness of story-telling as a popular education tool , the role of social movements and prospects for popular education in North American society. |
