Moviment tal-Girl Guides Malta : ġublew tad-deheb, 1923-1973

Abstract

Placed under the patronage of the Catholic Women's League in 1923, the Malta Girl Guides Association has since grown considerably and achieved multiple milestones, such as visits from prominent Guide personages, participation in many local and international guiding events, winning of awards, and becoming a Full member in the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. This programme celebrates the Golden Jubilee anniversary of the Malta Girl Guides Association, 1923-1973. Among the contents, there is a message by the Hon. Agatha Barbara, the then Minister of Education and Culture, a list of milestones and historical events that occurred during the 50-year period, short biographical details of prominent leaders in Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in Malta and abroad, as well as a full programme of events that had been planned for the Golden Jubilee of the association.
