Abstract: | Chev. Cremona is a very gifted artist whose unusual talents in the absorption of new techniques have singled him out above other painters. He did several works including mural decorations for churches and secular edifices and exhibited at the 29th Biennale International Art Exhibition and at the Imperial Institute in London. Chev Cremona has designed 15 sets of stamps of Malta comprising in all over seventy stamps. His designs commend themselves to philatelists all over the world and it is no mean compliment to read about them as being amongst the most handsome and colourful British Commonwealth sets ever to be issued. Chev. Cremona has also been described as one of the most outstanding stamp designers in the world. |
